Premiere: The Era Footwork Crew - “Time” Music Video

The song was a part of their latest EP, COMBO PACK, which came out on October 4th via Teklife.

Chicago artist collective, The Era Footwork Crew, has just released a new music video for “Time.”

The song was a part of their latest EP, COMBO PACK, which came out on October 4th via Teklife. DJ Spinn, who is a cofounder of the legacy label, is also a member of the group and produced the track.

The visual features all members of the group both performing the vocals as well as dancing at a local production hub, Spectrum Studios. “It took us about a week to come up with the choreo,” Era leader Jamal ‘Litebulb’ Oliver tells HEADS KNOW. “We spent two weeks perfecting it and coming up with concepts. Steelo created the fits, but I decided [that we] throw on the Timbs like the legends used to do.”

Brandon ‘Chief Manny’ Calhoun, a cofounder of the crew and the music video’s director, speaks more about his vision for the clip. “The visuals are important because they evolve [the] artistry of footwork and it gives a different view for how anyone can be a part of the culture and growing community. The dance and music are both their own standalone forms of art, but the video with the dance and music combines them in a way that’s special. It showcases the many layers of the culture.”
